Rainbow Around the Block

I've been thinking about this project since her blog post
as well as listening to one of the podcast episodes
I listen to reguraly.
But I don't quite remember which episode of
whose podcast it was!?
Dah!!

Anyhow, I have no related with that particular area,
nor even didn't know about what happened.

As browsing through their Flickr album,
I remembered I actually do have
some contemporary looking fabrics
from one of my last year's projects,
and I found someone else in the group
also using the same line for his/her blocks!
How perfect it can be?

So here is my contributions.
There are two more deadlines after July 1st
and who knows if I make more till that time.

Oh, one thing I learned while making these blocks,
that is it's actually more difficult to make
the huge blocks- these are 12" finished blocks,
than smaller ones.
Isn't that crazy?
But it's so true to me!

I found I need a lot more patience
to sew the larger pieces together
as the sewing lines a obviously
longer than the smaller pieces.

That sounds just as is,
but I really needed to focus on
where I was sewing for my blocks.
How funny, isn't it?

Xoxo,
