Morning Surprise!

When I woke up in this morning,
I found three baskets on my sewing table!
I'm not sure where they came from...

As I said in the last posting,
I was going to be back here next week,
but after seeing these baskets,
I could not resist not to show you ;)

This is the weapon I used to make the bias handles.
I bought this one way back in late last fall at
the very first meeting of JLWC at LQS.
Since then, I haven't had used it just untill yestereay.
Being lazy, hard head, and what else you call for?

It comes in five different sizes, and I used 3/8" width
this time for 1 1/4" width bias strip.
Just sew the 1/4" seam with wrong side together
and cut down the seam allowance to 1/8"
(It doesn't say that,
but I just did it to make it to fit easier.).
Then you figure how it will be from here...

It is so nice and easy,
and you won't feel sorry for the result!
Just because I wanted to try this more,
I made two more blocks after the last posting.
It was that much fun!
No basting,
I just used three pins to secure the handle,
and no hustles at all :)))

Merry weekend!

  1. Again - lovely! I am making the quilt on the cover of that book. It is a LOT of applique. Good practice!
