Secret recipe for you



As I've received some inquries
about Limo's Valentine's quilt,
I'm sharing my secret recipe
for you to make your own ;)

 "Limo's Valentine's Quilt"

Quilt Size: 11" x 15 1/4" finished
Block Size: 3" finished

1. To make a block,
from light, cut one 2" square
from red, cut one 2" square
for HSTs, from red, cut two 2 1/2" squares

To make 1 1/2" finished HSTs,

Trim each HST to 2" square.

--> Make total of six 4-patch blocks.

2. For side triangles,
cut two 5 1/2" squares,
then cut in half diagnolly twice.
--> Make 6 triangles.

*** You only need 6 triangles out of 8. ***

3. For corner triangles,
cut two 3 1/4" squares,
then cut in half diagnolly once.
--> Make 4 triangles.

4. For alternate blocks,
cut two 3 1/2" squares

5. For borders,
cut two 1 1/2" x  13 1/4" strips
cut two 1 1/2" x 11" strips

6. For backing and batting,
cut one 13" x 17 1/2" or larger
of each

7. For binding - single fold binding,
make 1 1/4" width strip for 60" or longer

Make total of six 4-patch blocks.
 Apply alternate squares and triangles
as refer to the finished quilt.

Note: Trim each triangle
 after adding onto the blocks
to the perfect size.

    This is adorable and I am making it today.
    My daughter just told me to frame my little quilts. I see that you quilted it before framing. I thought that was the way to go too.
