Some quilty stuff

Ms. Limo: Mommy was busy working on
the HST borders.

"Dresden Plate" by TQC
Fabrics: "Rural Jardin" and
"La Petite Ecole" by FG
Block size: 14" finish

Now I think I have all the HSTs
for the borders, but haven't added
the inner border to the top yet.

These are the blocks from our
SSQSG block exchange round #1.
I may get one more next month?

As I ran out of the resource
of the 4" finish block pattern for
the next round, here is the books
I checked out from Ms. K's
private library the other day.

It's hard to find an interesting looking block
at 4" finish size as it is really small.

And these are the fabrics
I chose for Kaleidoscope QAL.
The prints are from AM's newest line
called "Loulouthi".

I'm still debating between the solids
for the background.

I've never used "Quilter's Linen"@RK
which is actually 100% cotton with
the linen texture printed on
 the classic quilting cotton before,
so it will be a good candidate, maybe?

I added a quick survey at my blog sidebar.
Your opinions are appreciated ;)

I baked some Cinnamon rolls yesterday.

As it's getting really hot here in
the Southwest desert,
they may be the last ones from my oven
before the weather gets cool down.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  1. Ms. Limo that is a beautiful quilt top you're resting on... lovely Dresden plates.
The fabrics you've picked for your SAL quilt are gorgeous. I really like the Straw linen solid... just a touch of texture.

  3. Oh my! The dresden plate is lovely! And another dangerous website to browse too. lol! I love the AM fabrics for the new Quilt along. So pretty! That straw linen fabric is pretty cool! I love that reddish one too. And the brown. In other words, I'm not much help at all. lol! Can't wait to see the project! As for the heat -- ugh. At least it's a dry heat. The humidity is much worse to me.

  4. Love the Dresden plate and Ms Limo is giving it just the perfect little touch. Gosh, that dog is cute.
I voted for Sable. But not completely sure. If a darker color is wished as background I would take Sable, for lighter Straw would be my preference. I'm not much help here I guess...lol

sable would be my choice for your background, but it is difficult to say because we don't see the fabric in person...can't wait to see you progress on this kaleidoscope
