One missing!?!?!?
When I received my FQs and ironed them,
I guess I didn't realized there is one
missing from my order!
How can it be?
After nearly 10 days
while cutting up the wedges,
I finally found out about that now.
It has worked out perfectly now
with the Etsy shop and it's on its way
along with more of the fabrics
(Of course as browsing through the shop,
I keep seeing something new to me!).
Ok, back to the layout.
I played with them a little more
later last night with spreading
the solids out larger than earlier.
I was originally going to go for
a very scrappy look,
then I didn't really get sold by that
after laying them out like yesterday.
My eyes just couldn't get settled
anywhere among the blocks.
So tried some different options
and came up with this idea
to use the matching Kaleido wedges
throughout while the corner triangles
are totally scrappy!!
As some said the darker background
will give more contrast,
which is so true and I like that.
But I will leave them as is
till receiving the missing FQ
to make the final decision.
BTW, this is the fabric I chose
for the binding.
But if I decided to go with the darker solid,
I may want a scrappy binding strip instead?
This quilt will be really interesting for sure...
Thanks to those of you who have left
some nice comments yesterday!
I'll keep all those in my mind
and let you know how
I'lll go with this quilt soon ;)

Oh gosh, it's going to be gorgeous! It's so easy not to notice that something is missing from an order IMO. Glad you noticed and it's coming. So can I change my vote? I like the darker fabric now. Love it actually. lol! That binding fabric should be nice too, I think!
ReplyDeleteIt's looking great! I glad that you discovered the missing fabric and could get some of it. I think that I love the darker fabric like Margaret. It makes everything just stand out so well.
ReplyDeleteIt's looking great. Hope the missing color arrives soon. I like both layouts. Both are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous and the darker fabric is making more of an impact, but you have to make the decision in the end of course:)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend:))
But Merumo, you can never have too much fabby!!! Can't wait to see it all quilted. It looks good with the wedges. I like it on the darker background too.
