Enjoying the quiet weekend.
While the bread dough is rising,
I pull Ann out from the stitching basket.
I'm stitching Algerian Eye stitch
on the alphabet row.
She is such a pretty girl and relaxing.
It's a true joy stitching her!
M.s Limo: I'm relaxing, too!
ZzZzZzZzzzzzzzz
The above is Ann as of 6/6/11.
Fabric: Vtg. Sand Dune 40ct @LL
Fiber: called for
I was under the impression of
not making much of the progresses
on her since the last blog post,
but that may not be the truth?
I'm still way far from the end,
but I actually enjoy this slow progress.
Last Sunday was our special Sampler Sunday
at LNS with Barbara
who is a reproduction sampler designer.
Barbara (L) and Jean (R).
She brought a lot of her gorgeous collection of
her antique and reproduction samplers!!
We all enjoyed her interesting stories behind of
each reproduction sampler she worked with.
Ms. Limo: Where is my bread?
Those aren't yours!!
Ms. Limo: Ok then, I'll go back to napping...
ZzZZzZzZzZzZzzzzzz
Enjoy your weekend!

Your Ann Grant is so lovely! I'm so envious of your Sampler Sundays. Sigh. I love Queenstown Samplers designs. Does she have any new repros coming out soon? I hope so! Hope your bread is good. Mia was napping earlier but she's getting her play time with my son now. lol! She says hi to Ms Limo.

ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous that you could see all those gorgeous Queenstown samplers in person. That must have been gorgeous. There are couple of her samplers I absolutely love. Did you buy any charts?
I'll have some fresh baked bread with her, lol. Lovely colors in your sampler. I really like the pinky mauvey shades. Keep up the good work. (Does it seem like the quilting goes faster?!?)
ReplyDeleteI love Ms Limo's ear in the last picture :) reminds me our border collie when she used to sleep with her ears up,just in case she needed to be somewhere.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of your Sampler Sunday,I would have loves to be there, especially to see all the work on display.
Ann is looking great..and I can almost smell the bread..homemade is simply the best.
Your sampler is gorgeous. I love the earthy colour of the background gainst the reds, whites and browns - it adds something that white or cream just wouldn't have given to it.
ReplyDeleteYour Ann is looking lovely. She is a lovely sampler isn't she. I am still on the border, but have been side tracked by something else.
ReplyDeleteOh you are such a lucky thing to be able to attend these Sampler Sundays. I would love to go to one of those. Barbara is such a lovely lady and I love her samplers. - Sandra.

ReplyDeleteYour Ann Grant sampler is coming along SO beautiful! I think you are making GREAT progress on her!
ReplyDeleteA stitchery club meeting, fresh baked bread & a stitchery project sounds like the perfect weekend plans!
