It's been freezing cold here since last night
and I think the winter storm has blown away
my nasty cold!!
I feel a lot better today :)
To those of you who have sent me a note,
thank you so much!
Going back to Sarah Seifer.
After talking to one of my new blog readers yesterday,
I got a lot more done in this morning :)))
Well, we were talking about
my thread conversion from DMC to NPI.
I told her that I was not totally happy with
the contrast of between NPI #315 and #316
which I'm using for the alphabets at the bottom.
The first two rows are stitched with NPI #315,
and the rest are with #316.
(Oops, the word "born" should have been
stitched with #315!!)
Now I see just a slight contrast there,
but not quite as much as I'd like to have.
And as looking at the above pictures,
just noticed a part of Adam's right leg
towards to the ground is missing :O
After that, now the last part left out is
a part of the border.
I will have to fill that later today
to finish Sarah.
And did you notice this?
It's her birthday today 185 years ago.
What a perfect day to finish her!!

Glad to hear you feel so much better!!
ReplyDeleteSarah is coming along very quickly:))
and love the colours too.
I can't believe how quickly you have gotten through this sampler! Very speedy needles! I hope you're feeling much, much better, and thank goodness that you noticed Adam's leg before you took it to be framed. I did that on a CHS piece one year - forgot to put the bird's legs on some birds sitting in a tree. I didn't notice it until I brought it home from the framer. I couldn't believe it. But I left it - I'm not perfect and that piece reminds me of that every day.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy that you feel better. Is this sampler a reproduction or is it an original creation ? I'm in love with this design. Is it out of stock, I can't find it in online shops.
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm very happy to hear that you are getting better than before!
ReplyDeleteYour Sarah is so stunning, the colours are so beautiful!
I can't wait to see the finished one in the frame that the wonderful one that you always choose!!
