Do you see two "H"s,
one stitched in red and
the other one in yellowish gold?
Well, these two "H"s are charted
slightly differently from each other.
Do you see that?
My smart brain remembered
how "H" was stitched on the previous row
and assumed that what it is going to be
for the next row as well.
My poor assumption was wrong.
It's not that much different,
at least not a problem
as far as the space wise.
So I decided to leave them
the way they are.
I'd call it as "personality" ;)
BTW, as I didn't have the substitution NPI
for DMC #223 -rosie pink?, in my stash,
I came up with the idea
to replace that one with my "red" ;)
That's for the row says,
"IN THE TWELFTH YEAR".
I auditioned a couple of different ones
and picked #225,
which was used for the above
"Victorine Bonnegent 1808"
When I first saw a pic of Victorine
at Legacy Embroiderers Guild BB
stitched by Siobhan,
you don't know
how big my eyes got opened!!
I quickly asked her
what thread she used for hers
and she kindly showed me what it was.
That was THE NPI #225.
Since then, it's one of my favorites
muted red :)))
Happy stitching!

ROFLOL--I'm looking at your Victorine and thinking, "Wow, that looks like mine!!". NPI 225--isn't it a fabulous color?! I like how you used that on Mary. The frame for Victorine looks great, too!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have noticed your change on the H if you hadn't pointed it out! I'm getting ready to get to those two rows on mine. Yours looks great!
I see you have been working hard at your stitchery! Can hardly wait to see it in person this coming week.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful progress Merumo!! Your Victorine is beautiful. I started it years ago, I really should get back to it one of these days!

ReplyDeleteI love it. Where can I get the chart? The blog I went to listed on your site was in a language I couldn't read. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work.
