Good book, Sarah and Susan!

Ms. Limo: Do you know what is my mom's weak?

I wonder what it is??

I HAD to visit my LNS again
for a few reasons.

While checking my very organized,
yet not so reliable shopping list,
I felt like someone is staring at me.
I looked back and guess who that was?
A red book in the above picture!

I can hardly ever resist
needlework related hardcovers,
if I get to see them in person.

I first learned about this book
at Ellen Chester's blog late last year,
then by my LNS's newsletter some time ago.

The book is written in German and English
with the pictures of beautiful samplers
from Lorraine Mootz's collection .

In addition, it comes with 16 charts
of the selected samplers from the book!!
(It was included with 2 replacement charts.)

There were only two left in the shop.
Deborah who is working there told me
the first shippment was all gone
for the pre-ordered customers,
then all they have left now are
from the second shippment...

I felt pretty lucky to meet this book :)))

So, I was busy reading and browsing
this lovely European sampler book
along with stitching Sarah Tatum
in the last few days.

I worked on four and a half of
half medallions/motives on your left.
It doesn't sound like a lot,
but it was for me as
Sarah is such a huuuuuge girl!!

Besides, you wouldn't know how happy
I was when I saw the last half medallion
was where it should be!!

I mean, the most of those are laying
just one stitch a part from each other.
So for me who is not so good at
paying attention to the detail,
it's almost miracle to see
there wasn't any mistake at all,
especially for this size of big sampler.

I may have had some mistakes
somewhere I just don't see them,
but they may have gotten compensated
between the mistakes!?
Do you know what I mean?

But all it matters to me is
the fact they are nicely aligned
where they are supposed to be :)))

Do you see where I left my needle
in the next picture?

It looks like I still have a lot to go,

but now I have one another lovely
Quaker related reason to finish her ;)
Thanks Ms. B!!

While working on Sarah,
I just heard a good news from my pal.

Pamina and I are going to stitch
Susan Rambo together.
I've been awaiting for her to receive
her supplies from England.
And she is ready to go now!!

As hard as I tried to ignore Susan
 and concentrate on Sarah...
don't think it will last any longer.

I have my "green thread" ready
and don't see any fair reason to wait!?

I'll try to put a few stitches in Susan
before hitting the neighborhood sports bar
to see how she is like ;)

Enjoy your weekend!

You are making such good progress on Sarah, and, Susan, of course is a stunning beauty. I can't wait to see what she looks like when you start stitching her.
