Beautiful Inspiratoins

One summer weekend...

While I was just enjoying following
the handmade blogs all over last night,
I got to a few new places to me
where filled with gorgeous works!!

I felt my creative juices started flowing
like crazy and the next thing you know
I was sitting in my sewing room
auditioning the fabrics to make
"something" right before midnight!!

I even don't remember
how long I haven't played with
the fabrics nor my sewing machine.
It must have been a few weeks,
at least :O

So here is my latest finished work,
a sewing roll which was inspired

It measures about 2 3/4"h x 5"w
when closed as a roll.

There is no instructions I referred to
make this roll.
I just whipped up little quick ;)

Then here is another one
inspired by one of my blog friend's work.

I received this cutest Dresden pouch
(Top left in beige.)
a couple of years ago as a part of
our private exchange.

Her work is all done by hand sewing!
It got me really badly when I saw
what they look like as that's one thing
I really can't do it myself.
(I'm a true 21 century girl!)

Anyhow, as she is back to the blogland
just recently after such a long winter sleep
since late last fall and this is one of the things
got my heart :)

As far as the instructions of this pouch goes,
I referred to this one.
And you will see some of the finished pictures

Just give you the idea of
how small my Dresden is,
it's about 4" finished.
I used this pattern/template
called "Mini Dresden Plate" @TQC.

I know it took for years for me to make one,
but you will see there is a good reason behind.

Ms. Limo: What is that all about?

Well, I still need a hardware
for the opening at the top.
It looks like this.

You see, there is an internal spring frame
inside of the opening.

It comes really handy to have this
putting in there to open the pouch instantly
with just one hand :D

I have never seen one like this sold in the U.S.,
so had to place my order to all the way to Japan.

 I've been patiently awaiting for
this lovely thing arriving from there
sometime soon.

I'm hoping really soon...

Fabric: 40ct Vtg. Examplar
 by Lakeside Linens
Fibers: GA - called for
SAL with Janet and Deb@ LNS

Now it's time to talk about Ann.

I finished stitching till where all three of us
agreed to stitch by the next meeting.
It was a saltbox house at the bottom.

As I finally got back with my sewing,
I haven't stitched since I finished
the house on Memorial Day last week.

Ms. Limo: Any treats for me?

Now she isn't even looking at me
without a treat showing :(

I better get going to keep her happy!

Have a wonderful weekend!!
