I'm in the mood for pink this week :O

I started making these 4" finished size blocks
the other day with a color theme
away from my comfort zone.
While making them,
I got some good 80's tunes
from Pandra radio on my iPhone
and this one really got me going
with crazy pinks!
The funny thing is while I enjoy stitching,
I tend to listen to mellow classic music a lot.
To me, quilting/sewing gets much more
involved with "activities" than stitching.
And good upbeat songs helps me
to keep in that mood :)

Size: 8 1/2"w x 5"h
I made this gathered zippered pouch
in dark brown with stitched band
a couple of weeks ago as a gift for someone
who has good heart of friendship :)
(Red one is mine, which I made
sometime in early this year.)
This is her own design and a freebie!
You can find it here.
As thinking about what to send to her,
this lovely design caught my eyes
on her blog archive and
it was just a perfect size to fit
as a band of the pouch :p
And as reading her today's post,
I could not resist to buy
"Sew Animalistic" chart by Carol!!
You wonder why?
Well, there is a dachshund in there :O
She addeed Hector who is
a sweet dachshund of her daughter
in her design.
How nice can it be?

Oh my gosh, those 4 inch blocks are exquisite!! So tiny and beautiful. Pink isn't usually my first choice, either, but I always love quilts done with them. I also love Fig Tree & Co's pinks.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful clutches!
