Still stitching

"Sarah Seifer"
by The Goode Huswife
Fabric: 40ct Vtg. Maritime White
by Lakeside Linens
Fibers: NPI

I sowed the seeds last night
over the Sarah Seifer's garden
and fed some good plant food, too.

Voilà!!
Now I have a big tree in the center!!

Limo and I enjoyed our visit
to my LNS yesterday.

I took Sarah along with us
to audition the thread I needed for her.

The DMC thread in the middle
is the one the chart called for.

I managed to choose two closer ones
with Christy's help.
As I couldn't make up my mind
between the two,
decided to take both home with us.

As leaving the shop,
I gave a quick glance at these two.

One on the right in the picture
was stitched on 28ct,
and the left was stitched on 40ct.

by Sandy Orton

I started mine a few years ago
as a class piece Jean @LNS taught us.
It was originally  appeared in the magazine
"Treasures in Needlework: Spring 1993".

Then what happened?

Well, I even don't remember
where I put mine away...
What a sad thing!!

I think it was a quite challenge for me
to stitch on 36ct as I didn't see
good coverage on the linen surface
over two with one strand of AVAS.

I really like stitching on 40ct linen,
but for this particular piece,
I was suggested to go with 36ct
as there are quite a few speciality stitches
such as Queen stitch.

Anyhow, as I saw those two gorgeous pieces
 after such a long time,
I will have to dig my UFO pile
to find it to see if I can do anything with it.

  4. Merumo, do you know how multi-talented you are! Your work is gorgeous, and I'm with you about those two pieces -- what a challenge. How do you get so much done? Do you complete each cross as you go along? Do you have TV on as you stitch? Is Limo a good traveler? I'll bet she enjoys going out with you. Anxious to see your progress. Take care.
