Score!

Happy yummy scraps arrived yesterday :D

Ms. Limo: How yummy are they??

Well, They are one of the most yummy things
in this house for sure right now.

Ms. Limo is almost drowning
in the pile of the scraps!!

I was one of the lucky winners of Cheri's
wonderful giveaway last week.

Her scraps were nearly over flooded
from the priority mail box.
How exciting!!!!!

And they aren't just the scraps.

They are such special pre-treated fabrics
which have been tea/coffee dyed
to get grungy and vintage look
what Cheri is really good at.

I have quite few patterns of hers
in my stash, especially the holiday theme
quilts I would love to make some day :)

But one of the reasons (Isn't it called "excuse"?)
I haven't gone for them is
I don't have good homespun fabrics
in my stash.

In her quilts,
she uses a lot of homespun plaids and
stripes all over.

I don't know if I don't have
good eyes for them,
but haven't found much in town.
(Of course you will have to get online
in 21 century, right?)

As seeing a lot of fun applique projects
I really want to make "something"!

she made some time ago
is one of my most favorites.

And it is another one of
 Cheri's pattern I had to order :)))

Now as I got such wonderful variety of
homespun scraps from her,
I won't have any excuse not to
go for them at any time soon.

Ms. Limo: Cheri, you don't know
how happy my mama is now
by just looking at them :O

Thank you so much Cheri!!!
You have sent me to the true heaven.

....And I got one other beautiful inspiration
from east coast yesterday.
Thank you for my secret pal ;)

I'll have to make such a tough
decision now whether I want to start
playing with Cheri's scraps or
making another fall ornament
before going out for Sunday Happy Hour
(We are going to the German place!
As I used to live there years ago,
I enjoy anything to do with German.)

Can you help me which way I should go with?

  8. Your pile looks much like mine did before I got them all pressed and stacked. Yes, those plaids are hard to come by. Even online sometimes. But Cheri's quilts can be made with other fabrics too. Have fun!
