Block 1: Clay's Choice by Cheryl
Finish size: 4" sq
I found my local quilty friend/teacher Cheryl
has just started her SAL project
and of course I have to join :)
Thanks Kristine for letting me know.
You are always way ahead of me!!
In this fall, since came back
from our Southern California trip,
from our Southern California trip,
all of the sudden, I fell in love with
the primitive/folk art sort of taste
a lot like Cheri's style
and started thinking about making
a small-medium size quilt
in black/greyish colors with a hint of red.
So with that keeping in my mind,
I'm planning to use that color theme
for this mini project.
It'll be fun to see how it'll grow!!
Speaking of our So Cal trip,
I still have two more shop visits pictures
need to organize to post here.
I will get back with them
in the next a couple of days ;)

And coming back to Fall inspirations...
I finished stitching the above piece
this time of last year and got framed
by my stitcher friends Janet and Joy
@Valley House Primitives last year.
Although Kathy Barrick has retired
from designing, I still have quite a few
of her lovely charts in my stash
and a couple of them are actually
the holiday season's designs.
So maybe start thinking about
stitching one of those?

Thanks for sharing the info on the Sew along. I had to join to. I love those little blocks!
ReplyDeleteI love your stitchery. I think I may be joining in on the sew along. Such a cute little block.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love your little Clay's Choice block and cannot wait to see what you do with it. I am looking forward to your So Cal shop pictures. I have planned my own personal So Cal shop hop when I am scheduled to be there in late October. I am definitely headed to Temecula Quilt Co., Fat Quarters Quilt Shop and Country Cottage and the other shop in Temecula but I cannot remember their name right now. I love reproductions and primitive style so welcome any recommendations. I have about 1-1/2 days to do this and a rental car. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove your little black and cream block! Maybe, I could make a small doll quilt using that cute block--- for one of my dollies! Hummmmm!
ReplyDeleteI am a prim lover also....along with other deco, too!
As always thanks for sharing. Carolyn :)
