A little sew-a-long project by Cheryl
Block size: 4" sq finished
I've been busy sewing today
and all caught up with
both mistrey quilt's blocks!
I feel worn out now for the day
after a lot of tedious works...

Block 4: Crosses and Losses
Block #5: Cubed Lattice
Block #6: Evening of North Star
I think I'll coffee dye these blocks
as well as Cheri's once they are all assembled.
My eyes are just telling me
they are too bright and look raw! lol
As I will have to get back with my study,
I won't post anything fun
for the rest of the week.
We shall see...

They are very pretty blocks. I like the addition of little bits of red.
ReplyDeleteI agree that they are a little stark right now, but wait until you set them. Tea dyeing them will give them more warmth and character. I love that they are so precise! I also like to compare these with the 5" blocks with Cheri. It is hard to find 4x4 grid blocks. Believe it or not, there are many more 3, 5, 6 and 9 grid blocks out there to choose from.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks for Cheryl's sew-along look terrific!
ReplyDeleteI always like your color combinations :D
I'm going to begin my first few of these blocks today.
I just love the black/white fabric and what a lovely surprise with the red in one!
ReplyDeleteOnce again your work is fantastic. Don't work to hard at your studies.
ReplyDeleteHi Merumo,
ReplyDeleteI love your blocks & yes this may look good with a dye to fade a bit.
And the red squares are lovely!!!

Your work is so beautiful. It's always a joy to see it. Thanks for sharing and also for the pictures of your darling little dog.
ReplyDeleteSo great! The one with the red chain through it is my favourite. A whole quilt with just that block would be amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh---now wonder you are tired!! They are great and I do agree with you with doing the tea dyeing. Viewing your blog and seeing the look you do this will be more what I think you are striving for. I think I am going to have to try and work on these they are great blocks and Cheryl is giving good instructions.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and leaving your sweet comment on my blog.
