I whipped this one yesterday.
This was one of the holiday projects
on my "To Make" list this year.
"Wisconsin Snowball"
from "Primitive Christmas" book
by By Lisa Bongean & Carole Charles
Size: 17" square
Fabric: "Colonial Christmas" and others
by Judie Rothermel
I was going to add the binding
right after finish quilting,
then got to think about
if I'd like to have a good contrast
between the borders and the binding
or not.
I think I will have the same fabric as the borders
to make the binding strips for this one.
Yes, more red! lol
So for now, it's in the frame ;)
Life is funny,
and sometimes it gets tough
like mine yesterday.
How?
Well, my mind was totally hacked by
some other cute quilt
while thinking about the binding
for Wisconsin Snowball quilt.
As I saw Cheryl's post yesterday,
I got so tempted to make my own.
What is it?
It's a wreath version of Twister!!
I got so hooked on this fun quilt
and have been looking for
more troubles.
Then chi- and I chatted about it
over Twitter last night and
we both started making one.
How fun!!
I'm still auditioning the fabrics to see
how I'd like to settle the borders.
I'm pretty much sold on the idea of
to add the dark inner borders,
then the outer borders.
It's such a perfect day today
to stay at home with raining outside :)))
My fun will continue...
Beautiful finish Merumo!! Just gorgeous!! :)
ReplyDeleteRed and green--how festive! Both are wonderful for the season. I must revisit my PG book on Christmas! Then I will get in more trouble.
