comes handy, there must be something good
awaiting for me ahead :D
"Mini Winter Quilt"
Freebie by Kim Diehl
Fabrics: "Seasonal Gatherings"and
other Primitive Gatherings lines
When I saw Karen's little snowman's quilt,
I knew I'm going to make this one very soon.
also finished hers beautifully.
I got started cutting the fabrics
on Thursday evening,
then finished basting all the applique
pieces last night.
All the applique pieces are substituted with
the wools except the branch in light brown
as I had a very good reason to do so ;)
I was introduced to this handy nifty tool
at Jo Morton's LWC #8 at my LQS
a couple of years ago.
Is there anyone else also using this?
You wouldn't know how much I was
impressed about this new to me thing :O
Look look, how precise it turned out!!
(I made a 3/8" branch.)
Every time when I use this tool to make
a long stem or branch,
it will turn out the exact width
what I'm going for without an exception.
And the above is the back side of the branch
with the sewing line and the seam.
Too good to be true?
Yes, It is very true!!
If you haven't seen this,
check this out ;)
That's the little secret I had to share
with you whom haven't tried this trick yet.
Enjoy your weekend!!
