Christmas House #1

"My Christmas House #1"
Size: 3" finish

My Christmas house #1 has been built!

Someone asked me
if I have a trouble with the roof area
of the paper piecing pattern provided at
so I had to make one to see
if that is the case.
(The PDFs are available till the 16th.)

My house #1 turned our a bit wonky,
but other than that,
I didn't see any problem at all.

I actually had to play with
the printer as our printer
at home acts goofy when it comes
to the size. (I had to enlarge mine to
108% to make it to the size called for.)

All the scraps I used in this house
are from the leftover of

As far as the colors,
I decided to go with
reds, greens, golds and tans to make it
looks Christmassy :)

Anyhow, it took for awhile to
build my first house with
the paper piecing method.
I even don't remember when was
my last time using paper piecing.

I found this video was very easy and helpful.

Off to the junk food weekend dinner!!

  1. So pretty! Yeah, I've done paper piecing once or twice. It's nice in terms of being accurate. But English paper piecing is nicer. lol! Pretty! I'd better get the pdf before it's gone.

  6. Congratulations on house #1. It looks great. I want to make some but plan on hand piecing so I still have to make my templates.
