dear friend....

Not really Christmassy project,
but...

"dear friend" by Cheri Payne
QAL @quiltsbycheri

I was sick again all week this week.
Every time (How many times?)
when I start feeling better, I get sick again,
probably getting it all at work.

What a bad news!!

So I decided to work from home
almost all week this week
so that I will be safe. lol

I'm feeling a lot better today
and caught up with this sweet mini.

I prepped for the stitchery part
in this morning and found
some perfect candidates for embellishment
in a little jar which is filled with
the vintage MOPs and it was one of the gifts
Vero brought to me on her second visit
to Arizona a couple of years ago.

It's so funny and strange though,
as every time when I need some vintage buttons,
I start looking for them in this jar ever sine
I got it, but it seems the number of the buttons
inside hasn't seem to be changed!!

I've used quite few of them for sure.
How weird could it be!?

And something new to me now.

When it's all done till putting the binding strip
and everything,
I'm planning to try using this magic powder
to give some vintage look
for this little mini.

I found it at my LNS a little while ago.
It's packaged by Stacy Nash Primitives.

Time to sit down and stitch!!

  1. Love your little quilt. So pretty! It's Christmassy enough to me. :D Sorry you've been under the weather again. Good to work from home to stay away from the germs. Feel better! (I'll be interested to see how the walnut crystals work.)
