On a long weekend day,
no cooking, no cleaning
(Do I ever do that anyway?),
and no one else is around the house,
what would you like to do?

Block size: 6" finish
Quilt Size: 42" x 54"
Yes, I finished quilting this quilt!
Yay!!
But it was so close,
and I made it through ok.
Phew!
I mean as I decided to gamble with
the backing fabric not to piece to make it
larger to have enough extras,
I only had about 1" on both sides!!
The size of this quilt top is about
42 1/2" x 54",
and the width of the backing is
just the regular quilting fabric's width - 44".
Yes, I'm a gambler ;)
Anyhow, I found such a perfect day for me
to spend about an hour to finish quilting
while T is out on the off-road trip to the south,
closer the border with Mexico.
It was such an intense hour though!!
Almost non stop all the way through,
besides changing the bobbin thread
and sipping the wine :P
I just did free motion stippling all over.
A chilled glass of wine - Don't ask me
how many glasses I went through, and
good tune will do that for me very well ;)
Shall I go for binding now?
Ms. Limo: Go for it!
Ok kiddo!
BTW, Happy Memorial Day!

ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful! I just love it! Isn't it scary when your quilt is just barely the right size for the width of the fabric? I remember doing that a couple of times. lol!
