I even haven't owned any one of
her chart nor stitched one before,
but always liked her designs
in primitive style a lot.
I HAD to make my LNS visit yesterday
on our way back home from
PHX Sky Harbor to send off T
back to Tokyo,
I was thinking about her
and that got stuck in my mind
like a broken old LP record
that continuously repeats!!
I guess by reading and seeing a number of
blogs and forums where the stitchers talk
about this sad news and stitching something
from her designs made me move.
As opening the front door of LNS,
Janet and Joy @Valley House Primitives
were right there, enjoying looking for
some troubles (LOL) and
I saw a stack of Lisa's charts
on Joy's hand.
Like minded people were
right in front of me.
I told them that I'm here for today
and also said I know she was a
Halloween queen which I love
Halloween designs,
but don't feel like stitching those
this time of the year yet.
Then they showed me
"Hornbook Angel"'s hornbook was
one of their works for her.
SOLD!
So, I've been stitching this angel
since last night.
She'll be missed by those loved her.
Will be keeping her family
close in my prayer.

Beautiful start Merumo. That's so sweet that you were able to pick up some of Lisa's designs to remember her by. She will definitely be missed!
ReplyDeleteIt's a good way to mourn Lisa, Merumo, that chart is lovely. I did not know her but do have some of Lisa's designs, maybe a good idea to start one as well in her memory:)
ReplyDeleteGood choice. I love Lisa's angels and tombstone pieces.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful idea....i love this design too..
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to see you (and Limo)on Friday. It is always a comfort to see friends at such a sad time. I love your choices, but no matter what you do, it will be perfect and sweet tribute to Lisa.
