What a wonderful feeling!!
"12 Days of Christmas"
by Cheri Payne
Size: 38" x 45" finished
Last night, I finished stitching down
all the applique pieces.
(Although the berries were missing,
they are now all in place. )
I absolutely love this whimsical and prim look :)
And look at Ms. Limo who looks being so proud
of her mama's great accomplishment!! lol
The next fun part will be
tracing the words for the embroidery.
It was nearly a miracle
to have found my light box
which has been put away "somewhere"
deep in the closet of the sewing room
for years and years :O
Hope you are also enjoying your weekend.
Now we will need to get ready and go out!

ReplyDeleteGreetings from Debby
HEY! You did GOOD! I had planned to make my version using invisible machine applique, but after looking at all the pieces I don't think there's enough seam allowance included on the fabric so I'll have to do needleturn instead, and that will take me lots longer. If it turns out a fraction as nice as yours I'll be happy though!
ReplyDeletePS - did you just use muslin for the background fabric?
ReplyDeleteand when your done the day# & it's gift will be burned into your memory forever.... just love it!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on it!!!
