Summer Star SAL Blk 1-4

Back from vacation!

Summer Star SAL

Block size: 4 1/2" unfinished

We went up to Ouray, Colorado
- where we spend just a week
during summer.

I didn't work on any of my needlework
projects while I was there period.

So now I'm all busy with catching up
with what I missed!!

It's such a nice feeling
to find out about I still seem to
 remember how to sew :O

BTW, Taryn at Repro Quilt Lover had
a lovely books giveaway as she found
some duplicate copies on her book shelf.

And guess who won one of them?
ME!!

There are quite few quilts I like :)

Thank you Taryn for this book!
I'm fully inspired and ready to go :O

And speaking of a gift,
guess what was awaiting for me
after our wonderful vacation?

This gorgeous crochet bag
is made by my local friend R!
She specially made this one
for my B-Day next week :D

She and her family also spent
their time with us in Ouray,
but didn't tell me a thing about
what she was planning.

Before getting a heart attack,
I sent her a thank you note and
told her how I'm impressed her work
as usual!! (This isn't my first time
seeing her fine work in person.)

Then she replied and said
there may be another surprise
in the bag.

Another surprise?
What about it?
Did I miss anything?

Yes, there was a little drawstring bag
sitting at the bottom of the bag
(How did I miss such treasure?) and
inside of that, I found a Pandora's charm
which looks like a pretty rose :)))

She knew I've been collecting them
and looks like she quietly picked one
for my B-Day.
How sweet of her!

I feel so spoiled all about this.
Thank you so much R!!

More fun will follow...
