Fun weekend ahead

Any fun plan for the weekend?

I made these dishcloths as
a hostess gift for this weekend.

Each has the autumn/Thanksgiving theme pattern knitted.

It was interesting to see the pattern gets
slowly showed up as you go!

Yarn: Lion Brand Cotton Solid,
Lily Sugar'n Cream Solid and
Peaches and Cream Solid
Needle: US #3 Circ

I don't particularly enjoy knitting with
 the cotton yarns,
as it's not quite as nice and soft as
 the wool yarns.
It's really hard on my hands, too.

But it was a nice summer project
with thinking about the coming autumn
while the outside temperature still reads
over 100F!

As I was enjoying making these,
my friend (The hostess of the gathering.)
kindly reminded me like,
"You know what happens when you make
a bunch of dishcloths?"
without her knowing of
who is going to receive these ;)

Well, I knew the answer right away,
but of course just kept quiet
at the moment, as it will be her job,
definitely not mine to worry about!

What a mean friend - Me!!

Enjoy your weekend...

  8. They are really cute! What a nice handcrafted present. Here in France we don't have dishcloth... but I knew about them as a friend of mine knitted them when staying here once. she said they were the perfect on-the-go projects ;-)
