Do you remember this one?
It's finally quilted!
designed by Lori Smith
Monthly Mini by TQC - Feb 2011
Block Size: 3 1/2" finish
Finish size: 20" x 16"
You won't see much of quilting
in this piece as I just quilted
in the ditch to give a simple look.
To be honest with you, I just got
totally lazy and couldn't think
about any good quilting plan,
especially for the borders.
"Patriot Wreath" version of
"Primitive Pinwheels"
Fabrics: "Rural Jardin" and
"La Petite Ecole" by FG
Size: 17" sq
This one is also quilted :)
Just all over meandering free motion quilting.
I'm just happy to see
they are both framed and look nice
sitting in the wine lounge :)))
And this is a pic of the back of them.
Fabric: Vtg. Sand Dune 40ct @LL
Fiber: called for
Now Ann Grant.
I'm finishing up the top part now.
I still need to fill some little things
here and there, but almost done doing that
in the area.
The above is Ann, nearly two weeks ago.
This picture of her looks closer to her real color.
I'm truly enjoying every minute of
stitching her with such pretty colors
regardless of her creases!! lol
Is there such thing -
crease resistant or crease proof?
Now even more fun to tell you!

Ms. Limo: Mommy said
we are going to take
a blog vacation till
the weather gets cool down.
We may pop up every once in a while
to say hi, but she won't blog
as much as she usually does
during the summer.
Our plans during the summer are
to go up to Ouray, CO later this month
to enjoy the cooler climate there
and also making her to study
extra triple hard for something
she needs to get certified
by the end of the year.
So everyone,
stay cool and enjoy your summer!

Your quiltlets (small quilts) are adorable. I love your sampler wall too! What is it about quilts and samplers--we can't get enough of them!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet little quilts! Love the baskets - reminds me of a pattern I purchased several years ago and haven't started. Enjoy your summer!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely projects!! I hope you enjoy your summer:) Hugs, Una
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful little quilts!! And your stitchery is wonderful. Enjoy your blog vacation and especially the cooler temps in Colorado :)
ReplyDeleteBoth you quilting and stitching are inspiring ;-) these little framed quilts are to die for...
ReplyDeleteI am such a fan of your little quilts. Enjoy your summer in cooler temperature - I have to say, I do not miss the hot Texas summers. Study hard, so you can get back to more quilting and stitching. Your Ann is stunning, by the way.
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt finishes -- and especially how you frame them like that. They look so elegant! Love Ann Grant too -- she's looking good! Good luck with the certification. Hope you manage it with flying colors! Have fun in CO. Is Ms Limo going too? Did you survive the dust storm? Ugh!
ReplyDeleteLovely finishes. Never saw quilts framed, I do like the look of it. Also admired your actual quilting. I totally fail at that. Never come further then stitch in the ditch technique. But then again I'm not really advanced when it comes to quilting.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your Ann Grant. She is so very very pretty
I just love those small quilts in the frames. I saw that done years and years ago at an antique shop in California and never forgot how wonderful it looked. Never got around to doing one though. These are truly an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful quilt projects...you work is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAnn is coming along nicely. She is such a pretty sampler!
Enjoy the rest of your summer! Look forward to seeing you around again soon!
Love all the small quilts and your Ann G. sampler.
ReplyDeleteI hope you and Ms. Limo enjoy the cooler weather in CO.
A beatiful and colourful selection of darling little quilts! Great work as usual!

ReplyDeleteHave just come back from a little holiday so I will look forward to reading your blog today and catch up.
Have a great holiday and wishing you nice weather too:)
Hugs to ms Limo!
The mini's are so cute, I love them. I'm the same sometimes and really don't know how I should quilt the little ones. Have a good summer.

Beautiful finished quilts - hope your enjoying some cooler weather and getting studying done - although sewing sure sounds better than studying, lol - so I hope your getting some of that in as well.
ReplyDeleteKaren
The quilts turned out beautiful!! And I'm loving your progress on Ann Grant, this is another one on my wish list!
ReplyDeleteYour basket quilt got my attention. I love basket blocks. The fabric choice makes a good quilt for summer. Patriotic looking.
