It looks a lot more grey than it is,
but the background fabric is
actually light moss green.
It wasn't an easy ride
sewing up the different thickness
of the fabrics between homuspuns,
quilt weight cottons and flannels.
Especially homespuns get frayed like crazy,
which I never remember that
till I actually cut them :O
Their such warm and cozy look
deceives me so easily :(
I guess I have to live with
my love-hate relationship with them
as long as I like their look.
The next step is prepping the applique.
I'm all excited about trying
a new to me applique method
which Cheri has good instructions
in this pattern.
It's called a faced fabric applique?
